Microsoft Gadget.com update
Monday night/Tuesday night we deployed the latest code to the new servers for MicrosoftGadgets.com. This was a fun release, as it was the first one I had help with. Erik Porter came to the team and instantly was thrown into the mix and handled a lot of the backend code. He posted about the release here and Scoble posted as well..
With this release we focused on making the gadgets easier to find (gadgets are now organized by user created tags), removing broken gadgets from the main gallery (we’ve added a Repair Shop to move reported gadgets to, where you can work with others to resolve the issues with your gadget) and a clean up of the ui along with a few bug fixes (Passport Timeout window is now longer than 5 minutes – very annoying)
