Silverlight books have arrived/arriving/on their way…
Silverlight 1.0 has been out long enough its time to get your hands on some books. And luckily there are some folks who have spent their nights and weekends turning their experiences and lessons learned to words, sentences and all that authoring stuff.
Written by Devin Rader, Jason Beres, J. Ambrose Little and Grant Hinkson. I do have a copy of this but have not read through, should have some form of review soon.
This looks interesting, coming from Mike Meyers of Novera who worked on the Election 2008 Silverlight app. I’ve been testing a few different animation methods, this may be worth looking at to see Mike’s pattern.
And then we have the much discussed Silverlight Unleashed. If you don’t understand the fervor then you must not read WPF Unleashed. This one is available online and should be in print soon?
And if you’re interested in getting a head start with 1.1, you can check out:
This one I have read through and enjoyed and acted as a tech reviewer. Lots of good information which ends in a nice walk through creating your own controls in 1.1.
