SilverlightContrib is taking off
October 20, 2008
Congratulations to the freshly expanded SilverlightContrib team for the work done on their Alpha 2 release! They’ve overshot their original release goals set in September by quite bit.
Straight from their site:
Silverlight Contrib is a collection of Silverlight Controls and API enhancements built for and by the Silverlight developer community.
The current release is compatible with Silverlight 2 – RCW and consists of the following features:
Controls
- Color Picker
- Gauge Control
- Star Selector
- Enhanced Metafile (EMF)
- Cool Menu
Library
- Zip Compression
- Byte Utilities
- String Utilities
- Simple Text Parser
- Animation Tweening
- Wheel Mouse Listener
- Clipboard Helper – (Internet Explorer Only)
- Data Context Extension Method Wrapper
My favorite features include the Color Picker and the Tweening Library, which you can use to do non-linear dynamic animations.
Nicely done, I look forward to the next release!
